Frozen Concierge Delivery
Taking frozen durian for home using or bringing it overseas
Why "Concierge"?
We've had customers that want to bring Spike Durians overseas to share with their friends and family or to store them frozen at home to consume them later on.
If you are bringing overseas, most airlines won't let durian near the cabin — and honestly, your fellow passengers will thank you for that. But don't worry! Spike has you covered with our Frozen Concierge service!
We provide you with premium AgriFrozen durians, which has the "peak-locked" flavours and aromas that you have come to know and love! Your package will be double vacuum-sealed and double foil-wrapped, designed specifically to maintain the frozen temperature when it is being delivered to you and you can pack it into your check-in luggage. We also time the delivery to that it comes to you straight from our storage to you directly. This isn't the same as our regular home delivery — it's a scheduled priority delivery.
Concierge fee breakdown
| Boxes | Concierge fee |
|---|---|
| 1–2 boxes | $15 |
| 3–5 boxes | $25 |
| 6+ boxes | $25, plus $25 for every 3 boxes after that |
The concierge fee covers the extra packing work — double vacuum-sealing and double foil-wrapping each box specifically for check-in luggage — plus the scheduled delivery timed to your flight, on top of your product cost.
Frequently asked questions
How long can I keep it frozen before I travel?+
Frozen durian holds well in a standard freezer for a few weeks, so don't worry if your flight is a while after delivery — just leave it sealed and frozen until the day you start one of the two handling paths above.
Do I need to be home for the delivery?+
Yes. It arrives frozen and needs to go straight into your freezer, so someone has to be there to receive it. If that's a problem, message us at operations@spikedurian.sg and we'll work out a delivery window that fits.
Will it smell in my luggage?+
No, as long as the inner plastic seal stays closed — that's what it's designed for. Once it's opened, we can't guarantee the seal again, so only open it when you're ready to eat.
Can I choose the flavor mix and box size?+
Yes — that's what the two selectors above are for. Pick your box count first, then the bitter/sweet mix for that size.
What if my delivery date doesn't leave me enough time before my flight?+
As a guide, delivery 1–2 days before you fly gives enough buffer either way. If the dates on the form don't work for your schedule, contact us directly rather than guessing.
What does the concierge fee actually cover?+
It's not a markup on the durian — it's the extra packing (double vacuum-seal, double foil-wrap) and the flight-timed delivery scheduling that regular home delivery doesn't need.
